The John Montgomery House, built in 1874, is a historic building located in downtown Ojai. It is home to the Porch Gallery Ojai, a contemporary art gallery that features rotating exhibitions of nationally and internationally renowned artists. The spacious wrap-around porch is ideal for socializing or bar and food service areas. Each room has multiple entrances that encourage guests to easily flow through the interior and exterior spaces. The rooms feature dark wood floors with multiple fireplaces and a working piano that add to the building’s charming ambiance.
In addition to the gallery spaces, the building features a quaint library sitting room and the “Beato Lounge” and chocolate shop. The shop features chocolate sculptures made from Beatrice “Beato” Wood’s ceramic molds.
