The Pure Joy staff always enjoys working in this beautiful, wide-open, beach-front wedding venue. Sitting outside the Santa Barbara city limits, just north of Goleta, El Capitan provides a very intimate, fairly remote location for a wedding of any size. It’s a much underused, and very refreshing site. Most couples have their wedding ceremony on the beach and an outdoor reception on the lawn. El Capitan has spectacular views that make for extremely romantic wedding photo opportunities.
El Capitan Canyon is close by and is a separate entity from El Capitan Beach. El Capitan Canyon has camping options available. Ranging from rustic campsites to surprisingly elegant cabins with plenty of space to accommodate the wedding party and even a large amount of guests. This can be nice because it helps avoid the somewhat lengthy drive. Planning to book these two areas in unison makes for a special wedding celebration. But again, please note, the cabins do not come with the beach rental but can be rented separately.
