The Pure Joy staff always enjoys working in this beautiful, wide open, beach front wedding venue. Sitting outside the Santa Barbara city limits, just north of Goleta, El Capitan provides a very intimate, fairly remote location for a wedding of any size. It’s a much underused, and very refreshing site. Most couples have their wedding ceremony on the beach, and an outdoor reception on the lawn. El Capitan has spectacular views that make for extremely romantic wedding photo opportunities.

Camping options are also available ~ ranging from rustic camp sites to surprisingly elegant cabins ~ with plenty of space to accommodate the wedding party and even a large amount of guests. This can be nice because it helps avoid the somewhat lengthy drive back into Santa Barbara, and affords another whole day of paradise.
